I would like to keep the sketchbooks as anonymous as possible to divert the focus from the artist whose sketchbook it is and onto the actually sketchbook and processes of making. Thinking of cataloguing sketchbooks with tags (already bought) and perhaps just placing initials. Why would I colour code? Perhaps for size, to show which books belonged on which shelves? Corresponding colours?
